USA's Photography Certificate Program teaches the essential skills needed to develop or enhance your photography skills in both foundational areas and areas of your interest. The program provides training in many areas of photography including camera use, flash techniques, long exposure, location based photography, studio and natural lighting, and image management and editing software.

Take a couple of classes or gain a certificate. The choice is yours! All beginning students must start with Fundamentals of Photography to gain a good foundation in the art of photography.  

Certificate Program Requirements:

Students who are entering the Photography Certificate Program must fill out Photography Certificate Application and submit the one-time certificate application fee . To earn the certificate, students will take the core program courses:

  • Fundamentals of Photography
  • Photography: Beyond the Basics (formerly Digital II)
  • Image Management and Editing: Lightroom
  • Image Management and Editing: Introduction to Photoshop
  • Studio Lighting & Portrait Photography
  • Shooting In The Dark

And complete three (3) of the followng courses:

  • Outdoor Photography
  • Street Photography
  • Portraits on Location
  • How the Eye Sees

The program may be completed within 12 - 18 months.  All courses must be completed within three (3) years of the first course taken.

 

Vincent Lawson teaches a number of courses including an Introduction to Digital Photography (Digital I), Digital II and other.  As a professional photographer, Vincent is a cornerstone instructor for the program.

 

Lance Boggan is a local photographer who teaches photo editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.  He also teaches Portraits on Location, and others.
